Easy, fast and affordable low-power RF design with BlueNRG-2 and S2-LP

Join us for 1-day workshop on Bluetooth Low Energy design based on our BlueNRG-2 (2.4 GHz) network system-on-chip and S2-LP ultra-low-power sub-1GHz transceiver

Dortmund│April 9th - 11th 2019

Learn how you can enhance the performance your low-power RF design using ST’s cost-effective wireless connectivity solutions and dedicated development ecosystem.

Who should attend this workshop?

  • Engineers interested in understanding the capabilities of our BlueNRG-2 network system-on-chip and S2-LP ultra-low-power sub-1GHz transceiver
  • Developers looking for a way to have the best low-power RF implementation
  • Developers seeking to create innovative and efficient connected applications
  • Engineers who are interested in how to implement an ST-based Sigfox LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) node and receive information from ST partners for RF design and module solutions based on our S2-LP

Achieve outstanding RF design with BlueNRG-2 and S2-LP

During this one-day hands-on training workshop, we will present ST´s innovative BlueNRG-2 and S2-LP RF products and demonstrate how to use ST´s rich set of dedicated development tools to achieve an optimal RF design while also reducing development time, effort and cost.

You will learn:

  • About the features and capabilities of our BlueNRG-2 and S2-LP wireless connectivity solutions
  • Which ST device is best suited for your RF design
  • How to select the right tool from our RF development ecosystem to help with your project

The workshop is based on the BlueNRG-2 evaluation platform (STEVAL-IDB008V2) and / or S2-LP expansion board for STM32 Nucleo (X-NUCLEO-S2868A1). All attendees will receive a complimentary evaluation tool that they can take home!

Product details

BlueNRG-2, Bluetooth® low energy wireless system-on-chip
A very-low-power Bluetooth low energy (BLE) single-mode system-on-chip, compliant with Bluetooth specifications, the BlueNRG-2 extends the features of our award-winning BlueNRG network processor, enabling the embedded Cortex®-M0 core to run user application code.

The BlueNRG-2 offers the same excellent RF performance of the BlueNRG radio, and the integrated high-efficiency DC-DC converter keeps the same ultra-low power characteristics, but the BlueNRG-2 improves the BlueNRG sleep mode current consumption allowing a further increase in an application's battery lifetime.

S2-LP, ultra-low-power, high-performance, sub-1GHz transceiver
A high-performance ultra-low power RF transceiver intended for RF wireless applications in the sub-1 GHz band, the S2-LP is designed to operate in both the license-free ISM and SRD frequency bands at 433, 512, 868 and 920 MHz, but can also be programmed to operate at other additional frequencies in the 413-479 MHz, 452-527 MHz, 826-958 MH, 904-1055 MHz bands.

The S2-LP can be used in systems with channel spacing down to 1 kHz enabling the narrow band operations.

With an RF link budget higher than 140 dB for long communication ranges, the S2-LP also meets the regulatory requirements applicable in territories worldwide, including Europe, Japan, China and the USA.
