ST provides access to its technologies, tools, and talents to startups based on their needs and mutual agreements.
Technologies
ST is open to discussing participation in Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) programs for its state-of-the-art technologies, including RF CMOS, 28 nm FD-SOI, CMOS image sensors, MEMS and BCD.
Tools
For startups developing solutions that address emerging applications aligned with ST’s focus areas, we offer our comprehensive portfolio of products, evaluation boards, and device samples. ST also provides access to its fab labs and other regional labs to help startups in their industrialization stage, build their solutions, and enter the market using ST products.
Talent
An innovation manager from ST is assigned to each selected startup to guide and support its journey to success. The innovation manager has access to the entire talent pool of ST. At every stage of their R&D activities and product development, startups have access to relevant ST experts, as well as advice from specialists at the Fab Labs and regional labs.
Located within ST’s Ang-Mo-Kio campus in Singapore, Lab-in-Fab is a 200 mm facility created by ST and the Institute of Microelectronics (IME) in 2020. Its primary objective is to lead in micro-systems research and support customers in industrializing leading-edge sensor and actuator products. Lab-in-Fab offers startups the unique opportunity to develop advanced products using state-of-the-art R&D resources within a high-volume-capable facility, accelerating their time to volume production. By combining world-class R&D personnel, key semiconductor equipment, and access to the IME & ST development ecosystem, Lab-in-Fab provides extensive services for companies developing innovative MEMS-based products.
ST partners with leading incubators and accelerators around the world in alignment with its strategic areas. Current engagements include:
