Themed Boosting Agility and Resiliency for the Electronics Supply Chain, SEMICON Southeast Asia 2023 will gather industry leaders to explore ways for the electronics industry to build a more robust supply chain as it navigates the current economic downturn and ongoing disruptions.
Critical areas of semiconductor industry growth including sustainability, smart manufacturing, smart mobility, smart medtech and workforce development will take center stage at SEMICON Southeast Asia as the industry’s premier global electronics manufacturing and supply chain event returns to Penang on May 23-25 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre.

Demo highlights:
- Maze game: A motorized game that allows the player to control the tilt of a plate to move a ball through the maze. The inclination of a surface is controlled by the activation of 2 motors which receive the command via EtherCAT Real Time. A pad equipped with an inertial sensor is used by a user who can play to move a ball along the maze. A Camera detects the position of the ball to create an automatic path.
- Industrial PLC: This demo demonstrates the use of an Industrial PLC solution using the STEVAL-PLC001V1 board with available 12 inputs and 12 Outputs. Some commercial industrial components are controlled by the PLC: a pneumatic solenoid valve, an alert buzzer, a motor actuator and a fan are connected to the PLCs’ outputs; a rotary breaker, a mechanical switch, an inductive switch and a magnetic switch are connected to the PLCs’ inputs. The inputs and outputs' behavior is programmable by a ladder logic through an embedded touchscreen.
