Break The Bias In STEM

ARE YOU READY TO BREAK THE BIAS IN STEM?

JOIN US IN BREAKING THE BIAS IN STEM!

As the world celebrates International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11, ST will be organizing a 10-day Break the Bias in STEM* event covering the various regions and organizations across the company.

Even if there is no real ability difference, in higher education, only 35% of STEM students are women around the world, many of them pursuing natural sciences rather than ICT-related applied sciences**. #BreakTheBiasInSTEM is aimed at debunking prejudice related to women’s role and contribution in Science & Technology and at demonstrating STEM industries need more diverse talents to create a better future, through examples from our experience at STMicroelectronics.

At ST, as a global leader in the electronics industry, we believe we can make a valuable contribution to inspiring the next generation to explore STEM-related careers, and that science and technology need everybody’s perspectives, including women’s, to create a sustainable and inclusive future.

A series of online seminars and face-to-face meetings (where possible) dedicated to schools will take place at ST locations around the globe from February 20th to March 1st, 2023.
