ST’s Muar site is an advanced assembly and test facility specialized in the production of intricate, high-reliability packages. With a workforce of over 4,500 employees, the site's expertise encompasses the development, test and production of a broad range of cutting-edge products designed for automotive applications.
In 2023, our Muar site introduced a new production line using PLP-DCI technology for panel level packaging direct copper interconnect. This breakthrough offers significant electrical and thermal performance advantages while maintaining high standards of quality. It demonstrates ST's commitment to innovation in packaging to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
At ST’s Muar site, we regularly host an "Onboarding Appreciation & Engagement Event" to welcome our new employees. During this event, management and HR teams share words of encouragement, while seasoned employees provide valuable insights and positive experiences. It fosters connections among colleagues, ensuring that new joiners feel valued and an integral part of the ST family.
In September 2024, we welcomed students and staff from Singapore Polytechnic to our Muar facilities. They toured our production area, gaining insights into our assembly and test processes, and shared their engineering expertise. This collaboration demonstrates ST's commitment to building strategic partnerships with schools to establish educational pathways.
When people contribute, perform and get results, we feel they should be rewarded.

ST's Muar site has developed a groundbreaking Non-Etching Adhesion Promoter (NEAP) project. This cutting-edge technology is designed to improve the adhesion of coatings and paints to wafer substrates without the traditional etching process that uses harsh chemicals. This initiative represents a significant step towards more sustainable manufacturing practices.
We believe adopting a healthy lifestyle is fundamental for an engaged and productive workforce. To support our employees, our sites design health programs adapted to local requirements. At our Muar site, regular doctor-led health seminars are organized, covering topical issues such as a presentation on nasopharyngeal cancer, focusing on early detection and treatment of the disease.
