VL53L3CX - Time-of-Flight ranging sensor with multi-target detection
The VL53L3CX measures the range to objects up to 5m, the result is unaffected by the target color or reflectance, unlike conventional infrared sensors. The ST Histogram algorithm allows designers to introduce powerful new features to their products, such as enabling occupancy detectors to provide error-free sensing by ignoring unwanted background or foreground objects, or reporting the exact distances to multiple targets within the sensor field-of-view.

VL53L1 - Time-of-Flight ranging sensor with advanced multi-zone and multi-object detection
The VL53L1 is able to range up to 8m indendent of the target color or material. The ST Histogram algorithm permits detection of different targets within the Field-of-View (FoV). The algorithm also provides immunity to cover glass cross-talk beyond 80cm. The SPAD array zone selection allows advanced multi-zone scanning. The VL53L1 also has a programmable FoV from 15° to 27° dependent on the size of the SPAD array zone selection.
