X-Ray and Computed Tomography (CT) medical imaging technology utilize absorption properties of different materials or tissues to create an image of a body's internal parts with CT generating 3D views by collating together a set of spatially and temporally different images by rotating the x-ray source around the body. Beside the scanner’s core – the X-ray generator and detector that can be a film or most often today a dedicated image sensor – the machine has to accommodate for the patient and provide all the means to enable medical staff to properly command and control the equipment.
