Ensuring very high efficiency, the 650 V IGBT IH series is tailored for induction heating systems as well as soft-switching applications. IGBTs belong to the STPOWER family.
This series enlarges the HB series, currently used for induction heating application, ensuring a gain in efficiency for the final application thanks to a lower VCE(sat) combined with a very low turn-off energy.
The 40 and 50 A devices are already available in a TO-247 long leads package, while 20 and 30 A devices are under development.
STPOWER IGBT main characteristics:
- Wide frequency range from 16 to 60 kHz
- Very low VCE(sat) (1.5 V typ.)
- Low thermal resistance
- Maximum operating TJ of 175 °C
- 650 V very fast and soft recovery freewheeling co-packed diode
