Examples of Bitgear projects:
- Manhole Monitor: Bitgear’s industrial security monitoring solution is based on the maintenance-free, easy to install, battery powered IoT devices. Devices are installed in the infrastructural narrow entrances and small spaces, continuously detecting and reporting breach and presence at the protected asset. The solution relies upon LoRa radio network and LoRaWAN®, with innovative sensors fusion providing 10+ years of battery life. The devices are designed for harsh environments, with a custom antenna design providing a minimum range of ~1 km in the application of telecom manhole monitoring in dense urban areas. Client Web/Mobile application handles the physical installation process and devices provisioning, provides GIS-based asset monitoring and alarming, and interfaces with third parties (for example, security companies). This product was designed inside Bitgear Innovation Lab as a new technology product. This included complete Electronics design, Mechanics design, Software (Embedded and Cloud) development.
- Cloud for Elderly care: Bitgear’s solution for elderly care is a platform featuring location monitoring, panic button, fall detection, medication alert, and activity analysis. The platform comprises wearable devices and cloud application. This product was designed inside Bitgear Innovation Lab as a new technology product. This included complete Electronics design, Mechanics design, Software (Embedded and Cloud) development. Platform for monitoring elderly people.
- IO-Cars: Car sharing platform. IO-Car's service offers technology solutions for innovative mobility companies based on the car sharing concept. The Connected Car box is the in-car technology, which provides that your vehicle is connected to the Carsharing system. It is a powerful platform for digital services. This product was designed inside Bitgear Innovation Lab as a new technology product. This included complete Electronics design, Mechanics design, and Software (Embedded and Cloud) development.
- Activity/sports wearable tracker: Bitgear's platform for activity and sport tracking. Bitgear’s platform, which allows fast development of wearable devices for activity/sports tracking. This product was designed inside Bitgear Innovation Lab as a new technology product. This included complete Electronics design, Mechanics design, and Embedded Software development.
- GHOST: Platform for smart cities infrastructure control. GHOST is a H2020-funded project. The GHOST intelligent system enables to automatically take pictures of predefined Points Of Interest (POI) along the public transport networks, based on the accurate position of the vehicle in movement. Such GALILEO geo-tagged pictures are a key enabler for the creation of several new services. Bitgear participated here as a Product Development Services company (area of operation: Engineering Services in terms of Hardware and Embedded Software development).
- I-REACT: I-REACT is an innovation project funded by the European Commission. We aim to use social media, smartphones, and wearables to improve natural disaster management.
- Animal-wearable devices: Calving sensor, Proximity detection system. The device is worn by a cow or a heifer and gives an SMS alert approx. one hour prior to calving. This system is used in cattle farming for proximity detection of cows and bulls wearing two distinct devices.
- Smart home vent system: This is a fully integrated system that gives reliable control of the home ventilation system. Bitgear participated here as a Design Services company (area of operation: Engineering Services, Hardware Development, Embedded Software).
- EEG Device: Electroencephalography (EEG) device. Electroencephalography (EEG) is an electrophysiological monitoring method to record an electrical activity of the brain. Bitgear is working on a wireless headset for measuring EEG signals, which can be used in the professional (clinical) environment or in home use.
- Plant-O-Meter is a precision agriculture device, which assesses plant stress by measuring optical vegetation indices. Multispectral sensing is achieved by active illumination of the plant in six optical channels. Calculation of vegetation indices is based on the received reflected light. Therefore, it is suitable for indoor applications as well, and should be working just fine in the case of containers with aeroponic systems.
- IO-VMonitor is Bitgear’s LoRaWAN® sensor devices with up to three channels for detection of voltage presence/outage (65 V and 230 V AC). It is especially interesting for hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) broadband network providers who need information on voltage outage at their numerous HFC hubs
- The IO-Eye is a multi-sensor device capable of taking time-based or event-triggered snapshots inside a digitized asset (dumpster), and uploading to Cloud via the low-power long-range wireless network (NB-IoT). Combining with an application on the platform, users can manage all sensor data remotely and visually. By capturing pictures, the IO-Eye device can replace human inspection in multiple scenarios and economize on manpower. Different capturing modes allow quality picture-capturing under different environmental conditions.
