Psicontrol can provide a complete product development as a “one-stop shop” or can work in any form of co-engineering with the customer or 3rd party R&D in each of the following fields:
Hardware development:
Our HW engineers cover a wide variety of competences, with a special focus for µcontrollers, GUI technologies with captouch integration and in-house RF design but also including High voltage power electronics and on-board GHz processors.
Starting from a portfolio of “product platforms” ensures a short Time to Market.
SW and GUI development:
As a one-stop-shop developer, we cover the entire range of embedded SW developments to support our entire range of HW developments: Device drivers, BSPs, OS’ses, wired and wireless communication stacks, Application SW and GUI development. We have built up a flexible library of layered SW and IP blocks, so our customers a benefit from reused and thoroughly tested IP. Our SW department can work in any form of co-engineering, supporting the customers own SW development from whichever level they want.
Mechanics & enclosure design:
As a full daughter of a machine builder company, we, of course, master a full set of mechanical skills and use them to design and build enclosures to just that next level. Integration and design are the magical words for enclosure development. We haveve built up our own IP in integrating displays, backlights, and touch controls into cost effective products that are appealing to the eye, and a continuation of a fantastic GUI experience. From robust, industrial enclosures in sheet metal to die cast aluminum, to complex, high volume plastic moulded enclosures, Psicontrol can take care for the whole design chain from the fist drawings to the final production parts, in direct communication with our European and Asian suppliers.
Qualification & Certification:
From the first prototypes, as soon as possible in the design process, our designs are being tested and verified in our own, on site, EMC, and environmental and vibration test labs and facilities. Early feedback loops ensure robust devices that blend in with their environment and avoid surprises during final certifications. Psicontrol also has an excellent relation with various labs and agencies, acquiring approvals and certifications for worldwide applications for residential, industrial, and RF devices.
Industrialization & Production test:
Here, the advantage of having development and production under the same roof becomes apparent. From the first concepts, our production engineers are around the table, our test engineers are developing their production test strategy, making feedback loops as short as possible, and things like DfM and DfT are built in automatically. We make absolutely sure that our designs are producible and testable, as we are the ones who have to produce it! And it does not stop there, designing, automating, and setting up production lines, managing pre-productions, a whole team is working on giving our products a smooth and swift transition towards mass production.
