The STEVAL-2STPD01 kit offers a full hardware evaluation and development platform and highly functional software interface for power sharing across twin USB Type-C™ Power Delivery ports.

The kit exposes the flexibility and benefits of the STPD01 programmable synchronous buck regulator with I²C interface for digital MCU control. Each port can deliver up to 60 W output power (20 V, 3 A) with regulated voltages according to the USB PD 3.1 specification, and protections for overvoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature events. The STM32G071RBT6 microcontroller with UCPD peripheral runs a dedicated firmware stack to implement power sharing logic in the USB Type-C and PD dual port source adapter.

The design includes TCPP02- M18 USB Type-C port protection for source applications and a L7983 synchronous step-down switching regulator on the MCU supply.

The STSW-2STP01 kit software contains an application example to fully demonstrate the advanced USB Type-C and Power Delivery capabilities of the system.
