Chassis domain controller (CDC)

The latest trend in the evolution of Automotive E/E architectures is the move towards a new domain-based concept. In this architecture, the vehicle is divided into separate domains, each controlled by a Domain Control Unit (DCU) that acts as a domain gateway and is connected to a centralized DCU control system.

System benefits

In addition to reducing the need for wire harnesses and improving the distribution of computational power, this new architecture is more secure, upgradable, and scalable.

Centralized gateway

The Chassis and Safety Domain Controller is the gateway connecting the centralized gateway to local applications including the Electric Brake Booster, Electronic Stability Control, and Electric Parking Brakes. Moreover, it is easily upgradable to new applications coming in the Chassis and Safety Domain.
