ACEPACK DMT-32 is the ST dual in-line, molded, through-hole, 32-pin power module tailored for BEV/HEV automotive applications and suitable also for the industrial segment.

Thanks to ST's state-of-the-art SiC technology and a large product portfolio, ACEPACK DMT-32 covers a wide range of power and applications including on-board chargers (OBC), DC/DC converters, fluid pumps, and air conditioning as well as industrial ones including solar and energy and motor drive applications.

This family of power modules is based on 2nd and 3rd generation SiC Power MOSFETs, a well-recognized technology thanks to their superior performance in terms of electrical characteristics and thermal behavior, which guarantees low RDS(on) and limited switching energies. Thanks to the direct bonded copper (DBC) packaging based on aluminum nitride, this module ensures higher thermal conductivity, which is related with a very low thermal resistance as well as a high electrical isolation.

Moreover, with an operating junction temperature of up to 175°C, a greater power dissipation can be achieved. The specific design featuring grooves on molding ensures a high creepage distance.

ACEPACK DMT-32 is designed as an all-in-one solution capable of creating complex topologies, such as sixpack, fourpack, and totem pole configurations, with very high-power densities as well as high efficiency requirements, reducing the time-to-market.

This family of power modules is already available with a 1200 V voltage rating, while the 650 V class will come soon, featuring an embedded NTC thermistor. The DMT-32 represents a robust solution designed for the automotive environment. Moreover thanks to ST SiC technology, it shows the best compromise between energy losses and high switching frequency operation mode.

In addition, with the purpose of improving flexibility at PCB layout level, DMT-32 is currently available with the dual-in-line pin-out and soon with the staggered option as well.

Product types

The product portfolio, including several topologies with the well-known SiC MOSFET Gen2, is available with a voltage rating of 1200 V and featuring an RDS(ON) of 45mOhm and 80mOhm. This family of power modules targets different subfunctions in a power range of 4 to 22 kW.

The new ACEPACK DMT-32, based on SiC MOSFET , is available in a sixpack configuration and in fourpack, as well. The totem pole configuration, including the silicon-based bridge diode rectifier, which ensures very low conduction energies as well as very low reverse switching energies will be soon available.
