Solution Description
A full-featured industrial-grade programmable logic controller (PLC) with 12 inputs and 12 outputs, this all-in-one solution ensures fast and easy access to all control functions thanks to a human-machine interface (HMI) touchscreen display all running on a high-performance STM32F7 microcontroller with DSP and FPU instructions, an adaptive real-time accelerator (ART Accelerator™) with L1-cache, and an LCD-TFT controller with dedicated Chrom-ART Accelerator™ for enhanced graphic content creation.
A variety of possibilities is offered both on the input and on the output arrays. The galvanically isolated 8-channel high-side smart power solid state relay with SPI interface (ISO8200AQ) or the 4-channel low-side intelligent power switch (IPS4260L) can drive the outputs, while the high-speed digital input current limiter (CLT01-38SQ7) or self-powered digital input current limiter (CLT03-2Q3) offer respectively a high-speed SPI and 60V-capable self-powered inputs.
A natural solution for both PLC and industrial IO domains, the powerful HMI provided by the advanced, free-of-charge TouchGFX GUI framework (X-CUBE-TOUCHGFX) hosted by the high-performance 144-pin STM32F746 MCU is perfect for factory automation environments.
Key benefits of our solution
A flexible solution designed for a reduced design time for a quicker time to market, developers can daisy-chain up to 3 devices to the STM32FF7 microcontroller via its SPI pins. Designers can also adapt the solution to meet their specific application requirements by selecting only certain parts of the schematic, while the STM32 software package written in C code makes it easier for re-use and customization.
Moreover, depending on the required output channels, you can drive any kind of industrial load with a maximum current of 0.7 A for the high-side loads. If a given output requires more current, you can add more channels in parallel to reach the desired current rating. Inputs benefit from similar flexibility as they can accept loads in compliance with Type 1, 2 or 3 characteristics of the IEC 61131-2 standard.
