The Things Conference is back in 2022! This series of events focuses on LoRaWAN implementations and presents innovative applications to inspire developers.

With several conferences leading up to The Things Conference 2022 in Amsterdam, The Things Conference Embedded will unveil the Generic Node Sensor and Tracker Editions, which offer single end-to-end LoRaWAN nodes for a wide range of use cases.

STM32 solutions are at the heart of Generic Node designs:

  • The Generic Node Sensor Editions is based on the STM32WL SoC, the world’s first LoRa-enabled SoC
  • The Generic Node Tracker Edition implements the low-power STM32L0 MCU

Anicet Giaimo, Product Line Marketing Manager for wireless microcontrollers, STMicroelectronics
Anicet is a Product Line Marketing Manager at STMicroelectronics. He began his career with ST in 2007 in Taiwan as a Field Application Engineer responsible for customer support for touch sensing and motor control MCU applications. In 2013, he started working as a Technical Marketing Engineer focused on the digital power MCU market. Since 2015 he has been working in France in ST’s Microcontroller Division as a Product Line Marketing Manager. He is responsible for the business development of ST’s ultra-low-power MCUs and is now in charge of the STM32WL, ST’s Sub-GHz wireless MCU.

Alec Bath, Applications Manager for wireless microcontrollers, STMicroelectronics
Alec Bath is Applications Manager for wireless microcontroller products in the Americas.  During his 21-year tenure at ST, Alec has supported a variety of 8-bit and 32-bit microcontroller architectures:  8051, ARM7, ARM9, and of course the highly successful ARM Cortex M-based STM32 families. Prior to ST, Alec worked as a hardware design engineer at Motorola for analog cellphones and automotive body electronics modules.  His interests include competitive ultramarathoning, cycling, hiking, photography, woodworking, and electronics projects.
