Join ST for a one-hour webinar to discover the first multi-zone Time-of-Flight (ToF) ranging sensor capable of multiple target detection and distance measurement in each zone at up to 4 meters.

The newest addition to the FlightSense™ family, the VL53L5CX is a new state-of-the-art sensor housed in a miniature reflowable package that integrates a SPAD (Single-Photon Avalanche Diode) array, physical infrared filters, and Diffractive Optical Elements (DOE) to achieve outstanding ranging performance in various ambient lighting conditions.

These features make the VL53L5CX an optimal solution to address advanced use-cases such as wake-on-approach system activation, and gesture-based access and control for thermostats. Other challenging applications where the VL53L5CX is ideal include cliff detection, docking assistance in robot cleaners, and liquid level sensing in coffee machines.

You will learn:

  • The fundamentals of Time-of-Flight sensing technology, including field-of-view, multi-target detection, and distance measurement
  • The unique features of the VL53L5CX ToF sensor that enable accurate gesture recognition, hand tracking, and liquid level sensing
  • How the sensor's capabilities can be used to enable or enhance the functionality of a wide range of applications

There will be a live Q&A session at the end of the webinar where ST’s experienced engineers will be available to answer your questions.
