STMicroelectronics Appoints New Area Manager for Central, Eastern Europe and MEA

STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM), a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications, has appointed Guenter Haller as Area Manager for Central Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Benelux), the Eastern European Countries (Hungary and Czech Republic) and Middle East & Africa (Israel, Turkey and South Africa). He has also become one of the two Managing Directors of STMicroelectronics GmbH, the Group’s German subsidiary. In both capacities, Haller replaces Lucio Bossi, who has decided to retire after more than 35 years with the Company.
Haller joined SGS Halbleiter Bauelemente, a predecessor company to STMicroelectronics, in 1985. He has held various managerial positions in marketing and sales, including a five-year period at ST Agrate (Italy) in a role with worldwide responsibility for the Company’s memory products. Most recently, Haller served as EMEA Region Vice President, Central Europe Director at ST’s Industrial and Multimarket Business Unit. In this capacity, he initiated and drove the Company’s mass-market efforts in Central European countries.
