概要
The worldwide harmonized IEC 60730-1 and IEC 60335-1 safety standards define the test and diagnostic methods to ensure the safe operation of embedded hardware and software for household appliances controlled by electronic programmable devices.
The STMicroelectronics STM8-SafeCLASSB functional safety package is dedicated to all products based on the robust STM8 proprietary core. It provides a comprehensive tool that significantly reduces the effort, time and costs needed to achieve Class B safety level certification, which is recognized by the above-mentioned standards for applications intended for the European, American and Asian markets.
The STM8-SafeCLASSB functional safety package consists of a set of certified STM8 core self-testing procedures, including examples of their integration in an application, and associated documentation.
