Space qualified rad-hard power ICs
ST offers a comprehensive range of QML-V rad-hard power management solutions for space applications including linear voltage regulators (low-dropout regulators), point of loads (switching DC/DC converters), PWM controllers, gate drivers, and an industry-unique integrated current limiter.
Our rad-hard power management ICs take full advantage of ST proven experience in power IC hardening and of the intrinsic radiation hardness of its proprietary BiCMOS (for LDOs) and 0.32µm BCD SOI technologies. They ensure a high-level of radiation performance including a total ionizing dose (TID) of 100 krad(Si) or 300 krad(Si), immunity to enhanced low dose rate effects (ELDRS), and SEL-free up to at least 60 MeV.cm2/mg with a complete SET characterization.
QML-V or ECSS qualified and available in ceramic hermetic packages for optimized power dissipation, all devices come with an ecosystem that includes complete datasheets, application notes, SMD or ESCC specifications, and radiation test reports (upon request) as well as PSpice and IBIS models. Reference designs and evaluation boards are also available for certain products.
