概要

L4985は、ブースト・コンバータ向けのピーク電流モードPFCコントローラです。革新的なTHDオプティマイザに加え、あらゆる動作条件下できわめて低い全高調波歪(THD)性能を保証する独自の乗算器「エミュレータ」を搭載しています。このデバイスは、SOパッケージで提供され、連続モード駆動ブーストPFCプレ・レギュレータ向けの高性能 / 低部品点数ソリューションを実現します。このプレ・レギュレータは、数百W~数kWの電力範囲のEN61000-3-2およびJEIDA-MITIに準拠したアプリケーションに対応しています。

このデバイスは、独自のオフタイム・モジュレータを活用し、あらゆる動作条件において、疑似固定周波数で機能します。65kHz(A)および130kHz(B)の2つのオプションが利用できます。

800V高電圧スタートアップ・ブロックには、EMIフィルタのXコンデンサを安全なレベルにまで放電するための回路も組み込まれています。これにより、従来の放電抵抗をXコンデンサと並列で使用しなくても、安全規格(IEC 61010-1やIEC 62368-1など)に準拠できるようになります。

このデバイスは、低消費電力とスイッチング動作停止機能を特徴とし、米国エネルギー省(DoE)のエネルギー・スター、欧州行動規範、EUのエコデザイン指令、およびその他のガイドラインが定める最新の省エネルギー要件に適合するアプリケーションでも使用できます。

過渡状況中に出力電圧の制御を維持できる過電圧保護機能に加え、ICには、フィードバック・ループ障害や誤設定、ブースト・インダクタ飽和に対する保護機能も組み込まれています。ブラウンアウト保護機能は、IEC 60601-1-2の最新の規格に従った医療機器の設計を実現します。この規格では、メイン電源の低下が最大500ミリ/秒継続した場合に、出力レギュレーションが要求されます。ソフトスタートがピーク電流を制限します。

0.7Aのソース電流と1.5Aのシンク電流に対応したトーテム・ポール出力段は、大型MOSFETやIGBTドライブに適しています。
