Actuators, valves, and pumps control

Overview
In an irrigation system, a number pumps and valves are used to properly convey a controlled flow of water to a designated area in a field. Pumps generally use a universal, brushed or brushless DC motor or a single- or three-phase induction motor. Continuously adjustable valves and more simple shut-off type valves, which only open or close the water supply, and their associated control electronics need to provide efficiency and reliability in challenging open air environments.
