ST SNAPHAT tops are detachable lithium power sources dedicated for use with SOH28 NVRAM devices. They contain a lithium coin disposable 3 V battery (compliant with regulation EU2023/1542) and are designed to be “snapped on” after the SMD package is soldered on the PC board.
The two-piece solution prevents the battery from being exposed to the high temperatures of the surface-mount process to avoid possible battery damage, premature discharge, melting of battery elements or significantly shortened lifespan.
Battery capacity choice is between 48 mAh or 120 mAh versions. Designers can select the best battery capacity part number according to the final application lifetime target.

SNAPHAT 3V battery is available in two versions M4Z28-BR00SH1 and M4Z32-BR00SH1, with 48 mAH and 120 mAh capacity, respectively. The wide operating temperature range gives designers great flexibility to use NVRAM products in harsh environments, from -40’C to +85’C.
