Ultra-low-dropout linear regulator with programmable soft-start
The LD59150 is a 1.5 A ultra-low-dropout voltage regulator designed to efficiently and accurately supply a variety of low-voltage circuits in automotive and industrial applications. This is achieved thanks to a dropout voltage as low as just 65 mV at maximum load, which minimizes power losses, and an initial output accuracy of 0.5% (2% overall) along with a very high PSRR (> 80 dB @ 100 Hz).
Medium power MCUs, ASICS and other sensitive logic may benefit of the Power Good and programmable Soft Start features which allow a safe and correct power sequencing while keeping the inrush current under control. The LD59150’s input voltage range is 0.8 to 5.5 V, with an auxiliary bias voltage (VBIAS) of 2.7 to 5.5 V, while the output voltage can be adjusted between 0.8 and 3.6 V. The device comes in a compact, 3 x 3 mm, DFN10 package with wettable flanks and is automotive-grade qualified according to AEC-Q100 Level 1.
Ultra-low-noise and low-consumption LDO for ultra-sensitive loads
The LDLN025 is a series of 250 mA low-dropout voltage regulators designed for noise sensitive loads. Able to work with an input voltage range from 1.5 to 5.5 V, it provides accurate and stable voltage (I’d refer to the single LDO rather than the family, otherwise it can be read as the LDO offer several voltages) to precision ADCs, VCOs, or sensors, in space-constrained products such as smartphones, smart watches, fitness monitors, medical sensors, and wireless IoT devices.
Due to its best-in-class output noise figures (<6.5 µVRMS) and very high PSRR (80 dB), the LDLN025 provides a very clean output, suitable for ultra-sensitive loads (If we have room I’d mention here the very small package as a strength point, rather than the ceramic caps). Moreover, its very low quiescent current, only 12 μA at no-load, extends the battery life of applications requiring very long standby time.
